The stars burned bright above the forest, gleaming and twinkling in a brilliant stroke of silver. Gallilea, however, was not part of that shimmer.
She was still alone in the emptiness, not a light shining for her. But she was able to watch: she watched Ione join the Clan, she watched Songkit return, she watched Blackleg take his place once again. She watched as Irontail became deputy, and her heart stung, because she hadn't lived to see it.
An empty sort of sting.
She closed her eyes, thinking hard about him and, just like that, she was back in the warrior's den. She was, again, transparent, and she looked around desperately for Irontail before finding his sleeping form.
She tapped him on his shoulder with her paw. It gave an icy-cold sensation, as though she were pressing glacier ice to it.
"Irontail," she called softly. "Irontail..."

An icy wind swept over the Warriors Den and made Irontail jump in his sleep. It had barelt woken him up. When he looked up, there she was. The love of his life. All he had felt since her last visit was cold, dark depression. "Gallilea..."

Gallilea nodded, looking around uneasily at the den. If someone else woke up...
"Hey, Irontail," she mewed in her soft voice. "The clan seems... smaller? What happened?"

He looked at her beautiful face before looking at the ground sorrowly. "The Clan has gotten smaller. Thunderstar left. Rufus went to NightClan. And some just died or dissapeared." He paused to listen to the cries of the confused Brambleshadow. "And theres a sickness. A bad one too. The cats are losing their minds."

Gallilea's eyes softened at his last sentence, and a look of concern passed over her face.
"Believe me," she murmured. "I know what that's like."
She ran a paw over a stray clump of moss for a moment, coating it in a thin blanket of frost.

Irontail lowered his head again after he heard another painfilled cry. He hated that sound. It was the sound of death. He had heard that cry right before the Tornado took Kiche away from him. He had heard that sound when his beloved mate died. He had heard that sound from when he was at the Gathering and Sokoto was murdered. "Why? Why does death happen? It only destroys things."

Gallilea turned her head, looking out at the dark clearing, silohetted in the moonlight. "Every word is a waste of breath, every breath a waste of death, and why keep putting a new address, on this same form of loneliness?" she murmured. She glanced at Irontail. "Death doesn't destroy everything, Irontail. It makes room for new beginnings."
She glanced at her paws. She was disappearing. Again.
She was gone.

Irontail looked up at Gallilea only to find her to be gone. "Gallilea? Gallilea don't leave me!! Please!!" His eyes looked at the stars. There wasn't even the slightest trace of her left. No scent, no sign. Nothing. Just and empty space where she once stood.
